night. Rendered in high-contrast black and silver, the look of the film registers somewhere between the dusty bite of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and the otherworldly sheen of Sin City. Albeit rough around the edges, this local production from siblings Tim, Gregg, and Meagan Holtgrewe is mature, patient, and restrained compared to the average low-budget video feature. By framing the cabin, the siblings, the woods, and not the monster, the filmmakers craft an atmosphere of desolation and unease that makes the 60-minute running time feel much longer. Rather than fixating on the typical kill shot, Dawning broods on the finality of death and creates a feeling that hasn't been common to the horror movie since it merged with the action film in the '80s: helplessness. In one carefully paced and frightening sequence, brother and sister do the only thing they can do after a cabin-mate commits suicide: They dispose of the body and slowly clean the blood from the walls. character, Rickey, but after some research on the devastating effects of the drug, he decided to play the character. He hopes the audience, after witnessing the effect of meth on Rickey, will steer clear of the drug. "The irony is that I have the physical build of a tweaked-out meth user. Yet, thank God, I've steered clear of chemical abuse." Cram said.

the movie "Indelible." The largest and most challenging role of the year was in the Autumn working as the lead actor in the subtle drama titled (Yielding to) A Willing Breath in which Paul played the role of Brian Warren, a quiet socially awkward recluse. Paul said, "The roles I have had the opportunity to play in 2005 have been a dream come true for me. I spent 8 months with director/writer Gregg Holtgrewe in preparing for my role of "Bryan Warren." It was intense. I am looking forward to all that 2006 has, especially playing the dual roles of "Jacob/Jeremiah" in the thriller Roneys Point this March."

released in Japan, Canada, Russia and the UK on March 29. The film's director, whom some may remember as the roller skater wearing Charlie on the hit television show "Caroline in the City," said he was looking at tons of guys in Los Angeles for the role. When he saw the Minneapolis actor's audition he said "It is nice to finally see someone that can actually act."

Paul was flown out to Hollywood two days later and began filming the project for two weeks. When he started to pursue his dreams of becoming a movie actor at the age of 17, he was criticized by some of his friends. Some of them laughed right to his face when they heard about his endeavors, Cram said. "I just decided that I didn't care what they said. They aren't the ones that have to live my life for me." he added.
